If you are planning to visit the US during the upcoming holiday season or are travelling to India to meet your family and friends in November and December, you could be in for some trouble. That is because Air India has cancelled around 60 flights between India and the US scheduled for November and December, which is also one of the busiest travel seasons.
Flights cancelled due to non-availability of aircraft
The Tata Group-owned airline took the step due to the non-availability of aircraft caused by maintenance issues.
"Due to the delayed return of some aircraft from heavy maintenance and supply chain constraints resulting in a temporary reduction in the operating fleet, Air India regrets that a small number of flights have been cancelled between now and December-end," Air India said.
