On being questioned about he disclosed that in fact, the villa was a gift from an American woman called Lara Evison.
According to Subramani he used to ferry Laurie on his auto when she used to work in Bengaluru between 2006 and 2010. Lara grew fond of Subramani¡¯s family members and after getting back home, she returned to Bengaluru several times and stayed with Subramani¡¯s family. The growing fondness for the family prompted her to loan the money for the villa.
