Major Dhonchak was planning to move to new house in October
Major Dhonchak, who lost his life during the encounter in the Kokernag area of Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Wednesday, was a father to a two-and-half-year-old daughter.
Major Dhonchak, who had come home on leave just two months ago, was planning to shift to the new house in Panipat in October.

Major Dhonchak, Sena Medal (Gallantry), was the company commander of the 19 Rashtriya Rifles Unit.
Colonel Manpreet was a third-generation soldier
He, along with Colonel Manpreet Singh, who was commanding the Quick Response Team (QRT) of the Rashtriya Rifles, and Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir police, Humayun Bhat, were killed in action during the encounter that broke out on Wednesday in Kokernag.

The body of Colonel Manpreet Singh was also brought to Chandigarh, from where it was taken to his home in Mullanpur in Mohali district.

A third-generation soldier, Singh leaves behind his mother, wife, a two-year-old daughter, and a six-year-old son.
DSP Humayun Bhat became father a month ago
The last rites of DSP Humayun Bhat were performed in Budgam on Wednesday evening.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed grief over the death of the officers in the encounter while also paying tributes to the slain DSP at Budgam on Wednesday.
SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal said that DySP Bhat was an exemplary officer with unwavering courage and an unyielding commitment to maintaining law and order.
"DYSP Humayun Bhat was a shining example of dedication and valour. His sacrifice reminds us of the risks our officers face daily to ensure our safety. We express our deepest condolences to his family and pledge our unwavering support," Poswal said during the ceremony.
Son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Retired DIG of J&K Police, Humayun had become a father less than a month ago.
Anantnag encounter
The Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police had launched their joint search operation for Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists suspected to be involved on September 12-13 night.
The number of terrorists killed, injured or in the exchange is still unclear, and the operation is ongoing.
2-3 terrorists are believed to be hiding at the spot, and the security forces are using drone surveillance to search for them.
