The Goa Police, which is investigating the suspicious death of former Haryana BJP candidate and TikTok star Sonali Phogat has claimed that the two men who were arrested have confessed to spiking her drink.
Inspector General of Goa Police, Omvir Singh Bishnoi on Friday said that CCTV visuals from 'Curlie's' restaurant in Anjuna, where the 42-year-old was last been to, before returning to her hotel room, showed the accused mixing something in her drink.
"On the basis of CCTV footage,it was seen that the accused Sudhir Sangwan and his associate Sukhwinder Singh were partying with the deceased at a club. A video establishes that one of them forcefully made the victim consume a substance," Bishnoi said.

The duo had travelled to Goa along with Phogat on August 22, under the pretext of a film shoot on August 24.
But according to her family, the hotel rooms were only booked for August 21 and 22.
The death, which was initially thought to be a case of heart attack was investigated for unnatural death after Phogat's family insisted that she was murdered.
Her brother Rinku Dhaka had alleged that Sonali was murdered by Sudhir Sangwan, her personal trainer along with Sukhwinder Singh who intended "to take over her properties and financial assets to finish her political career."
Dhaka had also alleged that "Phogat's PA raped her after adding drugs to her meals."
Following the family's complaint, a post-mortem was conducted and the report stated that there were no sharp-edged injuries on her body. It also said that poison was the cause of her death.
Following this, the duo was taken into custody for interrogation on Thursday and was arrested on Friday.
According to the police, the motive of the murder is yet to be ascertained, but it could be some ¡°economic interest.¡±
The last rites of Phogat, who rose to fame with her TikTok videos were conducted on Friday at Hisar in Haryana.
