CRPF Raises 'Bastariya Battalion' Comprising Of Tribal Men And Women Of Naxal Hit Chhattisgarh
The force is deployed in the Kashmir valley and also in the anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. Now, CRPF is raising a battalion in Chhattisgarh called the 'Bastariya Battalion' to fight the Maoists.
The Central Reserve Police Force is one of the largest para-military forces in the country and is tasked with maintaining internal security. The force is deployed in the Kashmir valley and also in the anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. Now, CRPF is raising a battalion in Chhattisgarh called the 'Bastariya Battalion' to fight the Maoists. More importantly, the unit comprises only of the tribal men and women of the state that suffers from Maoist attacks.

The battalion will be stationed in the state for a period of five years and will help give employment to the youth.
