DMRC asks commuters to maintain decorum
After the video gained traction online, DMRC issued an official statement concerning the issue.
"DMRC expects its commuters to behave responsibly while using the Delhi Metro and follow all social etiquette and protocols which are acceptable in the society. Commuters should not indulge in any indecent/obscene activity that may cause discomfort or could offend the sensibilities of other fellow commuters. DMRC's Operations & Maintenance Act infact lists out indecency as a punishable offence under Section-59," it read.
"We appeal to our commuters to kindly refrain from indulging in such obscene activities and maintain social etiquette/decorum while travelling in a mass public transport system like the Delhi Metro. We also request fellow commuters to report such incidents to the nearest available Metro Staff/CISF immediately so that appropriate action can be taken," the statement further stated.

Ban on filming inside metro premises
Despite the reinforcement of the ban by DMRC on filming inside Delhi metro trains in March, many videos from inside the Delhi Metro coaches keep popping up on the internet.
DMRC, in its public service message on Twitter, had stated, "Travel, don't cause trouble." The post was accompanied by a graphic that said, "Be a passenger in Delhi Metro, not a nuisance."
While there was a ban on photography inside Delhi Metro and station premises, due to security reasons, from the early days when the service started, off late, especially after the advent of social media, it was not strictly enforced.
