Delhi Violence: Intelligence Bureau Officer's Bullet-Ridden Body Found In Drain In Chand Bagh

According to reports, Sharma was on his way back home after duty when a mob grabbed and threw him in the drain.
His body was fished out of the drain and had visible bullet injury marks. The officer had joined the Intelligence Bureau in 2017 and was training as a driver.
Chand Bagh is one of the several areas that have been hit by deadly communal clashes. The clashes were initially between pro and anti Citizenship Amendment Act groups but soon took a communal colour.
In the Ashok Nagar area, Hindu goons burnt down a masjid and placed a bhagwa flag on the minaret. The mob shouting ¡°Jai Shri Ram¡± and ¡°Hinduon ka Hindustan¡± paraded around the burning mosque. In the video footage that is making rounds on social media, a man is seen climbing up the minaret with an Indian flag in his hand. He also attempts to raze a section of the minaret but fails.
At least 20 people -- including a police constable -- have been killed and more than 180 others have been injured in the violence.
