Here We Go Again! Another BJP Leader Claims Yagna, Cow Urine Can Kill Coronavirus

While the obsession of most BJP leaders with the cow is well documented, a section of them is taking it to another level. They are obsessed with even cow urine and dung. And for them, cow urine has gold, can cure cancer and the latest claim is that it can treat coronavirus.

Ever since the coronavirus outbreak began making headlines, several BJP leaders have claimed that cow dung and urine can cure the deadly infection.

The latest entrant in this ever-growing list is Sanjay Gupta , the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from Laksar area in Haridwar.

¡°Performing yagna with ancient Vedic rituals of Hindu religion would help in killing the deadly coronavirus in the air. Earlier people in the country used to sweep the floors of their homes with cow dung as it is a proven disinfectant. But now people have forgotten it. I am sure if they again start that, the virus will not enter their homes. Apart from this, people should also drink cow urine to prevent the infection of deadly viruses as products of Gau Mata have magical anti-virus properties,¡± Gupta said.

Just a few days ago, Suman Haripriya a BJP MLA from Assam had repeated the same. Haripriya claimed that cow urine and cow dung are helpful in curing deadly diseases like cancer, so it could also cure coronavirus. "We all know that cow dung is very helpful. Likewise, when cow urine is sprayed, it purifies an area... I believe something similar could be done with cow urine and dung to cure coronavirus (disease)," she said in the state assembly.

Earlier, Hindu Mahasabha president Swami Chakrapani Maharaj had also said that cow urine and dung can be used for the treatment of coronavirus. "Consuming cow urine and cow dung will stop the effect of infectious coronavirus. A person who chants Om Namah Shivay and applies cow dung on body, will be saved. A special yagna ritual will soon be performed to kill coronavirus".

Just a few days ago Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath had claimed that deadly diseases like coronavirus can be eliminated by regularly practising yoga. ¡°The Indian tradition needs to be understood more deeply as it has tremendous things to offer through yoga. The world is waging a war against mental and physical illnesses. If these are cured, then no one will suffer from blood pressure, heart attack, kidney failure, liver failure or even coronavirus for that matter,¡± he said.

So is cow urine really effective against coronavirus? Other than the tall claims nobody take it seriously or wasted their time studying this. So, until and unless someone does that we would strongly advise you not to fall for these and take medical help if you think you have the symptoms.
