India's Happiness Report: People In Mizoram, Punjab And Andaman & Nicobar Are The Happiest
Mizoram Punjab and Andaman and Nicobar have emerged as the top three ranked states and Union Territories. Punjab Gujarat and Telangana lead the charts among big states while in the smaller states Mizoram Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh took the top rankings.
According to India's first ever India Happiness Report measuring national wellbeing and happiness, Mizoram, Punjab and Andaman and Nicobar have emerged as the top three ranked states and Union Territories.
The study was conducted by Rajesh Pillania, a leading management strategy expert and is based on a nationwide survey covering 16,950 people between March and July 2020 and tracks the impact of COVID-19 on people.
The study said that the people of the country showed extreme resilience during the COVID pandemic.
In the final happiness rankings, Mizoram, Punjab, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are the top three states and UTs while Odisha, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh are the bottom three.

The research names the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Puducherry and the Lakshadweep as the happiest Union Territories.
The results of the survey indicate that marital status, age group, education and income level are positively related to happiness and married people are happier than unmarried people.
Delhi, Maharashtra and Haryana have faced the worst impact of COVID on happiness, while Puducherry and Jammu and Kashmir are neutral.
