Jet Airways Passengers Bleed Mid-Air As Crew Forgets To Maintain Cabin Pressure
Some passengers even suffered from a severe headache. They are being treated by airport doctors.
Over 30 Jet Airways passengers underwent a painful experience after the crew forgot to switch on the cabin pressurisation system, which maintains the pressure inside an aircraft to comfortable levels as it climbs out. The Jaipur-bound flight was turned back to Mumbai after passengers suffered ear pain and nose-bleeding, during take-off.
The Mumbai-Jaipur flight with 166 passengers and five crew members on board landed safely in Mumbai and all the passengers were deplaned. Subsequently, first aid was administered to the passengers who complained of ear pain, bleeding nose etc, a spokesperson of the airline said.
"Out of 166 passengers on board, 30 passengers are affected... some have nose bleeding, few have ear bleeding and some are complaining of a headache," the official said.

Narrating the incident, Darshak Hathi, a passenger on board said, "The flight landed at Mumbai airport after an hour and we were told that we will be shifted to a different flight. This is an unfortunate incident. After we took off the AC malfunctioned, then air pressure system malfunctioned too and oxygen masks came out. Some of us experienced nose bleeding and headache."

Not only the passenger, but people vented out anger on social media.
There is no place for negligence in airlines as you are several thousand metres high from ground levels.

"Bankruptcy effect". No money, no servicing of aircraft. Then they say such failures happen; after all it is a machine.

"The flight¡¯s cockpit crew has been taken off scheduled duties pending investigation. The airline is making alternative flight arrangements for guests on this flight. However, the B737 aircraft, with 166 guests and 5 crew landed normally in Mumbai. All guests were deplaned safely and taken to the terminal. First aid was administered to a few guests who complained of ear pain, bleeding nose etc," Jet Airways said in a statement.
