At the Kundapur government college in Karnataka, instead of waiting at the gate, students have been made to sit in a separate room where they still can¡¯t attend classes.
Many on social media are equating the separation in classrooms to the Apartheid.
Separate classroom with no teaching is an apartheid process and a form of punishment without media coverage.

Yesterday, the Karnataka government issued an order and banned the wearing of any such clothes that "disturb equality, integrity, and public order in schools and colleges."
"Invoking 133 (2) of the Karnataka Education Act-1983, which says a uniform style of clothes has to be worn compulsorily. The private school administration can choose a uniform of their choice," the government order said.
It said the students have to wear the dress chosen by the College Development Committee or the appellate committee of the administrative board of the pre-university colleges, which come under the pre-university education department.
Karnataka high court is all set to hear the Hijab-related writ petition on Tuesday, the government is now probing the six girls of Government PU College in Udupi, who are demanding permission to wear the Hijab inside the classroom.
BJP MLA Raghupati Bhat confirmed the same to News18, saying state Home Minister Araga Dnyanendra had asked the police department to probe any links that the girls and their parents could have with other organisations.
Meanwhile, Udupi Additional SP ST Siddalingappa said two people have been arrested, with the police on the lookout for another three, for carrying arms into a protest on the Hijab row.
¡°We are trying to trace them. They had one knife and they were not locals. They are from Gangolli. They have been sent to judicial custody. The case is under investigation," he told ANI.
All eyes are now on the Karnataka High Court which will be hearing the petition over the ¡®hijab¡¯ row, as the controversial issue boils in the state.
A section of Muslim girls is demanding permission to wear headscarves to college, while the state government has cracked the whip making uniforms mandatory for students attending classes in educational institutions.
