He was among those brave Kashmiri Pandits who didn't left valley during terrorism in 1990's & contributed to Kashmir's growth for past 31 years.. pic.twitter.com/cDHJhAdid8

Reminds me of dead bodies of #TikalalTaploo #PremnathBhat #Lassakaul & many others on the streets after they were killed in the late 80¡¯s & 90¡¯s . pic.twitter.com/03VSVPJORC
A Kashmiri Pandit, Bindroo was one of the few in his community who did not migrate out of Kashmir at the onset of militancy in 1990. He stayed back along with his wife to continue operating his business.

Barely a few minutes after the killing of Bindroo, militants gunned down a roadside vendor identified as Virendra Paswan, a resident of Bhagalpur in Bihar, who used to earn his livelihood by selling 'golgappa' and 'bhelpuri'.
He was shot dead near Hawal chowk in downtown of the city, police said.
Almost simultaneously, militants shot dead Mohammad Shafi Lone at Naidkhai in Bandipora district of north Kashmir, officials said.
Lone was the president of the local taxi stand.
Terror organisation The Resistance Front (TRF), believed to be a shadow outfit of the banned Lasker-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for Tuesday's killings in the Valley.
Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.
"What terrible news! He was a very kind man. I have been told he never left during the height of militancy and remained with his shop open. I condemn this killing in the strongest possible terms and convey my heartfelt condolences to his family. God bless his soul," tweeted Abdullah.
"Mohd Shafi Lone of Naidkhai becomes the third casualty this evening. He was shot dead a short while ago in Bandipore district of North Kashmir. Even the words of condemnation and condolence after these militant attacks start to sound hollow. May Allah grant the deceased Jannat. Another targeted attack in Srinagar. A poor non-local handcart stall owner selling golguppas has been shot & has reportedly succumbed to his injuries. No words of condemnation are enough. May his soul rest in peace," added Abdullah.
Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti also condemned the killing of the businessman in Srinagar.
"Condemn the killing of Shri M L Bindroo who chose to stay back in Kashmir even during peak of insurgency. Such acts of violence have no place in our society. May his family find the strength to deal with this loss," tweeted Mehbooba Mufti.
