Jailed Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi Admits To Police About Getting Sidhu Moose Wala Killed

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi whose name has been in the headlines following the killing of Punjab singer Sidhu Moose Wala has told the police that the murder on Sunday was carried out by his gang.

Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail told investigators that his gang's members, including Canada-based Goldy Brar, hatched a conspiracy and killed Moose Wala for his role in the killing of Akali Dal youth leader Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky Middukhera on August 7, 2021.

Moose Wala killed over gang rivalry

This, according to Bishnoi, led to a "rivalry" between him and the Punjabi singer, who had earlier this year contested the assembly elections on a Congress ticket.

The 28-year-old was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district on Sunday, a day after the AAP government reduced his security cover.

According to the Bishnoi gang, Moose Wala was working with the Davinder Bambiha gang, which is closely associated with the Bhuppi Rana gang.

Immediately after the murder, Canada-based Goldy Brar, a close confidant of Bishnoi had claimed responsibility for the killing.

"Today, Moosewala was killed in Punjab, I, Sachin Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi take the responsibility. It's our work. Moosewala's name surfaced in our brother Vikramjit Singh Middukhera and Gurlal Brar's murder, but the Punjab Police did not take any action against him. We also came to know that Moosewala was also involved in the encounter of our associate Ankit Bhadu. Moosewala was working against us. Delhi Police had taken his name but Moosewala used his political power and saved his skin each time," he had claimed in a Facebook post.

Bishnoi won't reveal the names of conspirators, executioners

According to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police which is interrogating Bishnoi, the gangster has been very uncooperative and has not yet disclosed the names of the real conspirators, the ones who executed the murder and the exact motive.

"Bishnoi has been very uncooperative so far. But during interrogation, he accepted that he had a rivalry with Moose Wala and claimed that his gang members killed the singer.

"He has revealed that Goldy Brar was one of the gang members who conspired and executed the killing of Moose Wala but has not yet disclosed the names of other associates who were the real conspirators and executioners of the killing," a police official told PTI.

"Bishnoi has not disclosed the exact motive behind executing the killing and has been uncooperative about revealing other details about the murder," he added.

Right from the start, gang rivalry has been suspected in the murder of Moose Wala.

Bhuppi Rana

Gangsters Bhuppi Rana, Neeraj Bawana get involved

Following Moose Wala's killing, two other gangsters, Bhuppi Rana and Neeraj Bawana had promised revenge for his murder.

According to a Facebook post, believed to be the account of Rana, who is currently in jail, Moose Wala who was not associated with his gang, was killed for 'calling him a brother'.

The Bhuppi Rana gang has also promised a reward of Rs 5 lakhs for information on Moose Wala's killers.
