The case of Dr Nagendra Mishra (58) and his son Dr Suraj (28) once again brings out the lack of beds in Greater Mumbai because of the second wave.
Each family member was hospitalised in a different municipal corporation area. While Dr Nagendra was in Thane¡¯s Vedant Hospital, where he died on his birthday. The son was in a private hospital in Goregaon.
Ran different clinics
Dr Nagendra ran a clinic in Khadavali near Titwala while his son did the same at Bapgaon in Bhiwandi. They resided in the Gandhari area, Kalyan (W). Suraj tied the knot in November last year. Dr Nagendra¡¯s other son is also a doctor.
¡°Their condition continued to worsen and the father succumbed first and his son a few hours later,¡± said a relative while speaking to TOI.
They had tested positive for COVID less than a week back.
