Following the outrage over the notification and the intervention by Trained Nurses Association of India, the notification has been cancelled.
Many on social media questioned the audacity of coming out with such a notification, especially when the country fights a global pandemic which has killed thousands here and the healthcare workers are frontline warriors engaged in relief efforts.
Seriously undermining the service values of medical fraternity specially the NURSES!

Healthcare workers, especially nurses are severely underpaid and mostly neglected for their services.
Ever since the start of this pandemic, there is a growing demand to increase the minimum wage of these workers and that they must be given more rights and recognition.
India has a severe shortage of doctors and nurses even as it fights the COVID-19 pandemic.
India has 1.7 nurses per 1,000 population, 43% less than the World Health Organisation norm (3 per 1,000). This includes nurses, midwives, women health visitors and auxiliary nurse midwives. Overall, India has 3.07 million registered nursing personnel, the government told the Rajya Sabha on March 3, 2020.
