1. Zoramthanga
Zoramthanga is currently serving as the 5th Chief Minister of Mizoram since 2018. He was a major player during the secession movement of Mizo National Front.
He has asserted that his party, the MNF, will return to power by bagging 25-35 seats in the upcoming polls.
"We have been in power for five years, but it has been an unlucky period due to the Covid-19 pandemic¡ the economy breaks down like it happens in other parts of the world¡ Nevertheless, we tried our best and development to a great extent, is spreading across Mizoram," he was quoted as saying by PTI.
2. Lalsawta
Lalsawta is President of Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee in Mizoram. He is known as one of the state's finest finance ministers, making him the top choice for improving the state's financial situation, as ET reported.
Under Lalsawta, the Congress is relying on its commitment to usher in a 'new system' of governance for better agricultural development.
