Mumbai India¡¯s Most Forgetful City, Afternoon Most Forgetful Time: Know How Other Cities Fare

Mumbai has bagged the title of the most forgetful city in the country for the second time in a row, as per the latest Uber Report 2022. Delhi and Lucknow are not far behind in forgetting things while travelling in a Uber.
Uber released its Lost and Found Index to create awareness among passengers about their in-app options in case they forget their belongings in cabs during their trips. The fun and insightful annual survey is nothing but a reminder to passengers that they can easily send Uber a request to trace and retrieve their items.

Most forgetful cities
Using rider insights and gigabytes of data, Uber shared that Mumbai is the most forgetful city in India for the second time in a row, Delhi-NCR and Lucknow come second and third respectively.
According to Business Insider, Nitish Bhushan, Director, Central Operations revealed that while losing belongings in cabs can be stressful, Uber offers options to trace and get back your items.
Most forgetful items
In the list of items that got left behind in Uber cabs across India last year -- the usual suspects -- phones, speakers/headphones, wallets and bags. Other items included groceries, thermos/water bottles and phone chargers.
"Besides leaving the usuals behind, Indians have also forgotten unique things such as ghewar (an Indian sweet dish), flutes, Aadhaar cards, dumbbells, a bike handle, cricket bats, spike guards, birthday cake and college certificates, to name a few," according to the 2022 edition of the 'Lost and Found Index' released by Uber.
Most forgetful days, time
Lost items seemed to peak on certain days. The index revealed that "people are most likely to forget their clothes on Saturdays" and "their laptop on stressful Wednesday".
The most forgetful time of the day for Indians turned out to be afternoon slots of 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm.
Nitish Bhushan, Director, Central Operations for Uber India, said, "You always have the option to trace so that you can attempt retrieving your belongings."
