Now CRPF Issues An Admit Card To Narendra Modi For The Recruitment Exam For Head Constable!

In a major gaffe, the central reserve police force (CRPF) has issued an admit card in the name of PM Narendra Modi for recruitment examination for head constable (HC) (Ministerial) held at its Group Centre in Rampur recently.

The admit card, which is also available on the CRPF website, has Modi's photograph and name. The CRPF top brass went into a tizzy after the issue was pointed out by TOI and have now launched an inquiry into the incident.

The admit card (number 005615) was issued for test and scrutiny of papers for Group Centre at Rampur against roll number 2430026090 for the screening held on July 15 for clerical posts in the CRPF. Interestingly, the admit card carries a scanned photo of the prime minister, suggesting that the documents went through preliminary screening, but the fact that the documents were in the name of the PM was overlooked.

As per the details mentioned on the admit card, the applicant's date of birth has been stated as October 18, 1992. The name of the applicant's father is mentioned as Rarendra Modi and the address is that of village Samrai in Amritsar. Though the examination for which the admit card was issued was held on July 18, the error apparently went unnoticed as the admit card was available on the CRPF website till the time of filing this report on Thursday.

All out efforts to reach out to the CRPF authorities at the Rampur Group Centre proved futile as none of the officials were available for comments. Though deputy inspector general of police (DIGP) Pravin Kumar could not be contacted, sources said a discreet inquiry was underway into the entire issue on the basis of specific queries from the TOI.
