The mysterious death of 11 members of the Bhatia Family in New Delhi's Burari now appears to be a well-orchestrated suicide, as earlier suspected, the police probing the deaths have concluded.
Police ruled out foul play as allegedly by some relatives after affirmative evidence suggested that the family committed mass suicide, as per a well-scripted plan.

The CCTV visuals accessed by the investigators from the neighbourhood show family members collecting items like stools and wires which they used to hang themselves.
The footage from a camera installed outside a house opposite the residence of the family shows the elder daughter-in-law of the house, Savita, along with her daughter, Neetu, bringing five stools that were later used for the hangings.

Sometime later, two teenage boys - Dhruv and Shivam - are seen entering the house with a bunch of cables procured from their plywood shop.
This is significant as Lalit Chundawat, who police believe is the mastermind behind the act had written this down in a note from a few days ago.

According to Lalit's notes, the family were to be fed one last meal by the mother before the ritual. The CCTV visuals showed a delivery boy delivering food to the family at the night.
The family is then believed to have helped tie each other up and hang from the grill as instructed in the notes.
Lalit, who is said to have been visited by his dead father for more than 10 years have been making entries about his vision for years.
It is believed that the family was convinced that they will survive the ritual and the father's spirit will help them resurrect.
