A group of farmers is holding a sit-in demonstration at Delhi's ITO with the body of a protester who they said was shot dead by the police during the violent clashes that broke out.
The deceased has been identified as Navneet Singh, a 24-year-old from Western Uttar Pradesh.
However, according to the police, Singh was driving one of the tractors that had charged at them from the protesters and he died after his vehicle overturned.
The farmers reject this claim and allege that Singh has been shot in the head.

This comes even as the unprecedented scenes are unfolding in the national capital on the day India marked 72nd Republic Day.
The farmers who had been protesting at the borders of Delhi for nearly two months were supposed to take out tractors rallies from the three borders in the afternoon.
However, the rally got off to a chaotic start with the farmers clashing with the police and deviating from the routes that were previously agreed for the march.
The Delhi Police had given permission to farmers protesting the three farm laws to hold their tractor parade on selected routes only after the official Republic Day parade on the Rajpath concludes.
But chaos ensued as the farmers were adamant about heading towards central Delhi.
Protesting farmers clashed with police at several places in the national capital and entered the iconic Red Fort and ITO in the heart of the city.
Chaotic scenes were witnessed at ITO, where hundreds of protesters could be seen chasing police personnel with sticks and ramming their tractors into the buses parked by police.
