Sachin Vaze Made To Wear PPE Kit, Walk Outside Antilia To Recreate Ambani Bomb Scare Crime Scene

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) which is probing the bomb scare outside Antilia the house of Mukesh Ambani has reportedly attempted to recreate the chain of events.

On early Saturday, the NIA ferried arrested Assistant Police Inspector (API) Sachin Vaze to the spot and tried to play out the crime scene, as it could have happened, around half a kilometre away from Antilia.

Earlier it was reported that the person, seen in a CCTV grab walking near Ambani's residence on the night of February 25, was Vaze.

"In the CCTV footage, Sachin Waze could be seen with his head covered with a large handkerchief so that no one could identify him. He was wearing an oversized kurta-pajama, and not PPE coverall, in an attempt to mask his body language and face," the NIA had said.

On Saturday the NIA made Vaze 'walk down the road' near Antilia to check his gait, movement, timings, etc, to tally with the investigations and evidence collected so far in the case.

Earlier NIA had taken Vaze to various other locations in Mumbai and Thane to recreate the entire set of circumstances culminating in the SUV imbroglio on February 25.

The NIA has till date seized around six high-end cars/SUVs, including two Mercedes, a Scorpio, an Innova and a Toyota LandCruiser Prado, which are undergoing special forensic tests by an expert team from Pune.

While some of these vehicles were used by Vaze some were also driven by Thane businessman Mansukh Hiren, who was found dead in the Thane Creek wetlands on March 5.

IANS had reported that Vaze is not cooperating with the agency regarding the motive and planning of deep-rooted conspiracy which shook the corporate fraternity.

Vaze, who had earlier admitted his involvement to some extent in the SUV case and his linkages with Hiran, owner of the explosive-laden SUV, has been, of late, mum over the conspiracy angle.

Vaze, whose career has been filled with controversies and encounters was transferred to the Citizen Facilitation Centre at the Mumbai Police Headquarters after his name came up in the death of Hiren, before he was arrested.

It all began with the recovery of an SUV parked on the road near Ambani's house on February 25.

During the probe, the invigilators recovered some explosives and a threat letter by an organisation named Jaish-ul-Hind.

Later it emerged that the Telegram group of Jaish-ul-Hind was created from a phone in Delhi's Tihar jail.
