This story is of Shivangi, whose remarkable journey from selling newspapers to being an IIT graduate is moving, inspiring and heart warming.
Hailing from Deha, a village near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Shivangi used to help her father in selling newspapers and magazines. And whenever she got the time, she attended a government school in her village.

And then one day, she read about Anand Kumar, a proclaimed mathematician, renowned for running an educational programme called ¡®Super 30¡¯ in Bihar. Through this programme, Kumar helps aspiring engineers from lower economic backgrounds to prepare for the IIT entrance examinations.
She approached him, got selected, burnt the midnight oil and today, she is a successful IIT graduate.
Her mentor Kumar shared her story on his Facebook profile, and it has been loved by thousands so far. The post, written in Hindi, has got 10,000 likes and 1000 shares since it was uploaded on November 1.
¡°Some people dream and sometimes their dreams come true. But I did not even dare to have such a big dream,¡± Shivangi¡¯s father said.
