Dating apps are not the problem
Women are not the problem
It¡¯s violent, patriarchal men who think they can do what they like and get away with it¡ that¡¯s the problem.
Do not allow the issue to be diverted!
The latest to link the live-in relationship to the murder of Walkar is Kaushal Kishore, the Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs.
Union Minister blames live-in relationships
While referring to the Shradha Walkar murder case, Kishore said educated girls are responsible for leaving parents for live-in relationships that lead to crime and suggested that they should go for court marriage instead.
"It is the responsibility of girls also, as they leave their parents, who have reared them up for years, in one go. Why are they living in live-in relationships? If they have to do so, there should be proper registration for live-in relationships. If parents are not willing publicly for such relationships, you should have a court marriage and then live together."
Educated girls should not get into such relationships
"These incidents are happening with all those girls who are well educated and think they are very frank and have the ability to take decisions about their future. Such girls get embroiled in this. The girls should take care as to why they are doing so. Educated girls are responsible as both the father and mother had refused for the relationship. Educated girls should not get into such relationships," he said.
"What is this live-in relationship, this is giving rise to crime and it is a wrong thing and people are facing its consequences," the minister added.

We need not adopt all things including #Gandagi from West.#ExtraMaritalRelationShip should be declaired as crime to save the society and family.
Live-in relationships are legal in India
While it is viewed as 'illicit' and immoral by many, live-in relationships are not illegal in India.
Supreme Court has made it clear that two consenting adults may live together.
"A man and woman can live together if they wish without marrying. This may be regarded as immoral by society but it is not illegal," the SC had said.
Shraddha Walkar murder
28-year-old Poonawala was arrested by the Delhi Police after the parents of his live-in partner filed a complaint stating that she was missing.
During the investigation, Poonawala admitted to the police that he had killed Walkar on May 18 and chopped off her body into 35 pieces that were dumped across several locations over three weeks.
The 28-year-old kept the body parts in the freezer and used incense sticks and room freshener to suppress the foul smell while continuing to live there.
