Covid Pandemic Forces Teacher To Take Up Zomato Delivery Job; Good Samaritan Helps Fund His Bike
It all began when a user named Aditya Sharma first posted about him on Twitter, raving about how Durga delivered the food on time despite being on a bicycle, that too in scorching heat of Rajasthan.
They say the power of internet is magical when used wisely. And, almost every day we see an example that proves it right. Today, story of a hardworking 31-year-old man has come to light, thanks to Twitter and the good samaritan who spotted him.
Durga Meena who currently works as a Zomato delivery man, was once a teacher. He has been teaching for the past 21 years but lost his job in the covid pandemic. To fend for himself and his family, he took up the job of delivering food on his bicycle.
However, good samaritans on the internet have raised funds for a bike that Durga can use to complete more deliveries in a day.

WhatsApp and Twitter were flooded with specific requests by COVID-19 patients and their caregivers. And their requests were fulfilled within hours, thanks to the tireless efforts of activists and good Samaritans.
