MP Teen Girl Dies By Suicide After NEET Result Showed Only 6 Marks, It Turns Out She Got 590
In a tragic incident, a NEET aspirant from Madhya Pradesh died of suicide after she was left shocked, learning that she had scored just six marks in the exam. The girl, identified as Vidhi Suryavanshi, a resident of Madhya Pradesh¡¯s Chhindwara district had appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) in September.

The girl, identified as Vidhi Suryavanshi, a resident of Madhya Pradesh¡¯s Chhindwara district had appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) in September.
However, when the results were published online, it showed that she had scored just six marks.
According to the family, the 18-year-old who had aspired to be a doctor was left shell shocked and went into depression after learning her score.
The parents who tried to console her managed to get the OMR sheet which revealed that she had scored 590 marks in the entrance test.
By then it was too late and the girl took the extreme step had died by suicide inside her house on Tuesday.
Suryavanshi is the latest victim of the NEET exam this year which has been mired in controversies.
Not the first case of goof up
Just a couple of days ago, some students had alleged that their OMR sheets have been tampered with.
In Bihar, a student identified as Vikash Goyal has scored just 10 marks in the results, but when cross-checked with his OMR sheet, it tuned out he had scored 615 out of 720.
In Tamil Nadu, a family had alleged that their son had scored '0' in the result and alleged that his answer sheet was tampered with.
Another student who had scored 248 marks in the results, had in fact 594 marks.
The National Testing Agency (NAT) which conducted the tests has said that the NEET results were declared after thorough scrutiny and are correct and clarified that all genuine grievances will be addressed.
The NEET Exam this year has been under scrutiny for all the wrong reasons. It went ahead even as a large section of the parents and students had raised objection on conduction NEET amid the pandemic and had demanded to postpone it.
There have also been several cases where students who were tensed about taking the exam ended their lives.
