This Woman Used Her Husband's Bondage Fetish To Kill Him

A Palghar teacher, accused of murdering her husband with the help of her paramour, has told the police that she coaxed her husband into having sadomasochistic sex, so that she could bind him and render him helpless while carrying out her plan to get rid of him.

Samidha Pimple, 31, and her lover, Santosh Sankhe, 35, had used a thick plastic bag to suffocate her husband Sameer, 36, to death on the afternoon of July 9. The accused were arrested a couple of weeks later, as reported by Mumbai Mirror on July 24. They were produced in a Palghar court and remanded in police custody till August 3.

According to a police source, Samidha told the police that the reason for her wanting to be rid of Sameer was that he was crazy about sex and did not afford her any emotional support. She thoroughly resented this, and it led to her having an extra marital affair with Santosh, car rental businessman. Samidha and Sameer were both teachers in Palghar District, though in different zilla parishad schools.

Samidha said she had initially planned to murder Sameer at 2 am on July 8, while he and their six-year-old son would be fast asleep in their flat in Shri Heritage Building in Palghar (W). But she overslept and decided to carry out the plan the next day with help from Santosh.

On the afternoon of July 9, Samidha met Santosh and collected a roll of packing tape and a thick plastic bag, which she had asked him to get from a hardware shop. She then returned to her home and enticed Sameer into having sadomasochism sex, which he agreed to, the police source said. Samidha first tied Sameer's feet with her dupatta. She then used the packing tape to bind his hands and legs, and even taped his mouth, ensuring that he was helpless.

Santosh, who timed his arrival, then entered the flat as Samidha had left the main door partially opened. Within minutes, Santosh put the plastic bag over Sameer's head and he died due to suffocation. Santosh and Samidha then removed the tape and dragged Sameer's body to the toilet, where they left the tap flowing to imply that Sameer had died after a fall, the source said.

"The accused had lied to us," a police officer who requested anonymity said. "When they were arrested they said they had killed Sameer by suffocating him with a pillow. But now Samidha has changed her statement told us they killed Sameer by using a plastic bag." The officer further said, "She also told us about how they could overpower Sameer easily as she had secured him with tape while pretending to indulge in S&M.

She claimed she got the idea of using the plastic bag from a movie she had seen."
