Shocking behaviour and hooliganism shown in Ladakh by some tourists. Ladakh administration, Police and above all common people of Ladakh have been trying to preserve and protect Pangong Lake which is ecologically so sensitive. And this is what people do!pic.twitter.com/GShJBZl5sf

As a Keralite and nationalist, I feel ashamed of what these people are doing in Ladakh. Govt of India is bringing up lot of tourism opportunities in Ladakh after abrogation of art 370.. Ladakh is picking its economic activity but small elements like them are exploiting the land.

Tourism in Ladakh
The exponential rise in tourist footfall ¨C from 16,449 tourists in 1994 to about 2,79,000 in 2019, as per Ministry of Tourism data ¨C has definitely pumped in money in the jobs-scarce Ladakh. But it also brought with it an unwarranted burden on Ladakh¡¯s natural resources.
Local experts argue that it is still not too late to protect Ladakh and a lot of difference can be made by tourists just by making better choices.
