UK To Grant 3,000 Visas To Indian Professionals; Check All Details

The United Kingdom has unveiled a new opportunity for Indian citizens seeking to settle, work, or study in the country for a period of two years. The British High Commission in India recently announced the introduction of a ballot system as part of the India Young Professionals Scheme.

Under this initiative, the UK will allocate 3,000 visas to individuals from India aged between 18 to 30 years old, granting them the chance to pursue their professional endeavors in the country.
The ballot window is scheduled to open from February 20 at 2:30 pm India Standard Time (IST) until February 22 at 2:30 pm IST. An official announcement on X (formerly Twitter) encouraged interested candidates to participate in the ballot for a chance to apply for the visa.
Eligibility criteria
Eligible applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or a higher education certificate. Additionally, they are required to provide personal details such as name, date of birth, passport information including a scan or photo, contact number, and email address.
Financial stability is also a prerequisite, with candidates expected to demonstrate savings of at least GBP 2,530 and confirm that they do not have any dependent children under the age of 18.
Steps to follow after being successful
The ballot will randomly select successful entries, and the results will be communicated to applicants via email within two weeks of the poll's closure. Subsequently, successful candidates will have up to 90 days from the date of the email to apply for the visa.
This process involves submitting biometric data and paying the visa application fee, which includes the immigration health surcharge. Upon completing these steps, individuals must travel to the UK within six months to activate their visa.
Cost & aim
The cost of the visa is ?298 (approximately ?31,110). The India Young Professionals Scheme is part of the UK-India Mobility and Migration Partnership, established in May 2021.
