RSS has been marking its foundation day on the Hindu festival of Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra. The official celebration of the 100th foundation day of the RSS was marked at the annual Shri Vijayadashami Utsav at the organisation's headquarters in Reshimbagh, Nagpur.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the ideological parent body of the BJP, on Saturday marked its 100th foundation day. The RSS was founded by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur in 1925 on 27 September, on the day of Vijayadashami.
RSS marks 100 years
Since then, the RSS has been marking its foundation day on the Hindu festival of Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, which celebrates the victory of good over evil. The official celebration of the 100th foundation day of the RSS was marked at the annual Shri Vijayadashami Utsav at the organisation's headquarters in Reshimbagh, Nagpur.
Former ISRO chief K. Radhakrishnan was the chief guest of the event, which also saw the participation of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and former ISRO chief K. Sivan.
Bharat has become stronger: Bhagwat
Addressing the gathering, RSS chief Bhagwat touched upon a wide range of issues, including the political situation in neighbouring Bangladesh and the rape and murder of a doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College.

'Being weak is a crime'
"What happened in our neighbouring Bangladesh? It might have some immediate reasons, but those who are concerned will discuss it. But, due to that chaos, the tradition of committing atrocities against Hindus was repeated there. For the first time, Hindus united and came on the roads for their protection. They need help from the Hindus from the entire world. It's their need that the government of India help them... Being weak is a crime. If we are weak, we are inviting atrocity," Bhagwat said.
'Sinister plan to destabilise India'
The RSS chief said that there are currently ¡°sinister¡± plans to destabilise India at play, including enemies of our cultural traditions such as "the deep state, wokeism, and cultural Marxism."
Steps of their modus operandi - 1. To destroy thoughts, values ??& beliefs of the society by influencing systems & institutions that shape opinions. 2. Fanning disconent by creating identity conflicts.3. Creation of anarchy by distrust & hatred towards laws & governance.

Bhagwat also touched on the importance of caste unity and said, ¡°Friendships between individuals and families cutting across castes and religions are needed for social harmony and unity.¡±
