Bhairavi Singh, an Anchor and Senior Correspondent at NDTV claims she was ¡°called a prostitute, heckled, chased¡± for stating that the the creative world is divided on the issue of returning awards, in a protest of the Modi government¡¯s alleged intolerance.

She claimed she was mistreated, heckled, and even pushed, and called out Anupam Kher on Twitter.

Kher has been a leading voice against what has been dubbed #AwardWapsi, a collective of academics, Bollywood personalities, writers, and now scientists returning their awards to protest the Modi government¡¯s ¡®intolerance¡¯ towards minorities and criticism.

Times Now journalist Aditya Raj Kaul sympathised with whatever criticism Bhairavi Singh received.
