What Is Stopping You From Moving to Mumbai? Viral Post Highlights the City's USP
The financial capital of India, also known as 'sapno ki nagari' or city of dreams, may not be an attractive city to reside in for many. From problems of traffic congestion to monsoon flooding to incessant noise and pollution, Mumbai is not for everyone. But, a viral post on X (formerly known as Twitter) seeks to break this notion, by asking "What exactly is preventing you from moving to Mumbai?", and giving reasons in favour.

Netizens not much in agreement
Social media users had quite the diverse opinion, however.
"Pehle hi overpopulation hai. Mat bulao aur logon ko," read one comment.
"Excessive crowd. Increasing price for decreasing quality for most. Took me 44 years to move out... to Thane," said another.
One made a well-thought out reply to the question, saying: "Despite being a Bombay girl at heart, It¡¯s the selfish need for a) enough space, (both physically inside my house and mentally away from too many people who would expect a lot from me), and b) a better work life balance, that helps me keep Bombay as that special home that I love coming back to but don¡¯t wish to move back to."
"Lack of seasons, houses the size of matchboxes, insane traffic, local trains that are an adventure sport, lack of good food, I could go on¡," quipped another.
Another smartly said, "Road infrastructure and high cost of living. Now dont show the photos of sea links and atal setu, they don't represent entire mumbai's road infrastructure."
Someone even touched on the topic of Marathi language, saying, "Pollution, crowd, and governments that build flyovers along the entire coast. And lack of self respect among Marathis to ensure their language is spoken in their capital city."
