JNU Violence: Students, Faculty Thrashed By Masked Men, Many Students Now Forced to Flee Campus
As we speak JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) is in chaos. Early hours of the evening social media accounts across the spectrum started to flood with graphic images. It has been reported nearly 50 odd goons or so have taken to the campus hitting students and faculty members. The entire university is shivering in fear over the violence that masked intruders are inflicting upon them.

Early hours of the evening, social media accounts across the spectrum started to flood with graphic images. It has been reported nearly 50-odd goons or so, have taken to the campus, thrashing students and faculty members. The entire university is shivering in fear over the violence that masked intruders are inflicting upon them.

Several soundbites and videos have surfaced on the internet showing students running for their lives, many are hiding in washrooms to protect themselves.
It has also been reported that hordes of students are leaving the campus with packed bags in fear of their lives. Teachers have been beaten up too. No one seems to have been spared.
It is being said that the people who barged in hiding their faces and beating people with sticks, wickets and bats etc are allegedly ABVP members. All this while the Delhi Police had been standing at the entrance of the university helpless, not tackling the situation at hand. Students and faculty have been beaten black and blue.
Hearing about the violence- doctors, nurses and ambulances arrived at JNU with medical supplies to tend the injured. According to News18, AIIMS doctor has alleged that a team of medical volunteers were attacked by hundreds of goons. They even reported that Sawaraj Abhiyan chief Yogendra Yadav was allegedly roughed up in front of the JNU campus where ABVP and members of student unions clashed. JNU is a furore at the moment and plethora of people have gathered in support of the injured and are showing solidarity over the violence being witnessed by everyone.
The official handle of the Aam Aadmi Party has also tweeted, quoting the Delhi Government Health department. They are stating that ambulances and medical help is not being allowed to enter the JNU campus.

Ambulances are being denied entry into JNU campus. Police is denying entry.
We hope Delhi Police will not stop ambulances from giving medical aid to injured students.
While disheartening news and updates are flooding in by the minute there are also kind samaritans in Delhi who are offering their homes and private spaces to JNU students.
Many are still asserting the facts over what led to this violence. Some say that this was in retaliation to students protesting against the ¡®fee hike¡¯ and others are attributing it to the controversial CAA/NRC that has gripped the entire nation.
