Madhya Pradesh Is Manufacturing 12,000 PPE Kits Every Day Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
Madhya Pradesh is manufacturing 12000 PPE - personal protective equipment kits per day for frontline warriors who are battling coronavirus outbreak. Since the COVID-19 outbreak 15 lakh PPE kits have been manufactured in the state. Madhya Pradesh has reported more than 2000 Coronavirus cases and more than 100 deaths.
Madhya Pradesh is manufacturing 12,000 PPE - personal protective equipment kits per day for frontline warriors who are battling coronavirus outbreak. PPE kits are in production for the frontline warriors battling against COVID-19, as against its daily requirement of 10,000 kits, a government official said.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, 1.5 lakh PPE kits have been manufactured in the state and sent out of these, about 75,000 each have been sent to Indore and Bhopal, State Industrial Development Centre¡¯s Managing Director Kumar Purushottam had said.
Mr Kumar said in a press release, adding that the state has surplus stock PPE kits for the ¡°corona warriors¡± - "Madhya Pradesh needs 10,000 PPE kits per day, whereas the state is producing 12,000 kits every day¡±
About 40,000 kits are available in stock in Bhopal and Indore, and are being sent to various districts as per the requirement, he added.
Numbers of donors are coming forward to supply PPE kits in Indore, he further added.
During a video conference with office-bearers of the Indian Medical Association on Saturday, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the production of PPE kits in the stet was started after an approval from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
The state government has also started preparations of providing masks to people at reasonable rates.

It has begun registration of women who are interested in stitching cotton cloth masks in the state, a public relations department official said.
On the very first day of registration which was on Sunday, more than 4000 women got themselves registered for the task.
The state government will purchase marks made by these registered women as Rs. 11 per piece and make them available to people at a very reasonable rate, the official added.
