'Black And Proud' - Chris Gayle Reveals How He Faced Racial Discrimination As A Cricketer

In the wake of Gorge Floyd's death that has led to massive demonstrations across the United States, many sports stars are also speaking up and calling for an end to hate and racism.
Floyd passed away last week after being choked to death. In a video which had gone viral on social media, Floyd can be heard pleading "please, I can't breathe" as a police officer kneeled on his neck for around nine minutes.
Now, West Indies star Chris Gayle has also lend his support to 'Black Lives Matter'movement, as he opened about racism on social media.
¡°Black lives matter just like any other life. Black people matter, p***k all racist people, stop taking black people for fools, even our own black people wise the p***k up and stop bringing down your own! I have travelled the globe and experience racial remarks towards me because I am black, believe me, the list goes on,¡± Gayle wrote in his Instagram story.
¡°Racism is not only in football, it¡¯s in cricket too. Even within teams as a black man, I get the end of the stick. Black and powerful. Black and proud,¡± he added.
Many sports figures such as Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton and Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford also took to social media to express their anger and disappointment at the incident.
In Bundesliga, many players showed their support with revealing t-shirts reading, 'Justice for George Floyd' were also seen at the weekend games.
England and Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho led the way after he stood up against racism as he joined the 'Justice for George Floyd' after scoring a hat-trick against Paderborn in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
Many other stars like Paul Pogba, basketball legend Michael Jordan, and others have also urged the world to stand up against racism.
