Now France face off for the title vs Lionel Messi¡¯s Argentina. Both teams have won it twice. In their last encounter which was in the Round of 16 4 years back, France won 4-3.
On December 18, France aim to become the first in 60 years to win consecutive editions. As of now, only Italy (1934 and 1938) and Brazil (1958 and 1962) have done so.
This will be one epic final as both sides are in good form. Messi and Kylian Mbappe are in the race for the golden boot. Both have five goals in six games till now.
Messi is a danger but Theo is confident and says Messi doesn¡¯t scare them.
"Playing two World Cup finals in a row is an incredible moment. We did a good job; it was hard, but we are in the final," he said while speaking to told Italian station RAI Sport after winning the semifinal, according to TNN.
"We will work hard to win this final," he added.
"Now we have to think about the final. I'm tired, but it's nice to win a World Cup semi-final. Now let's recover for Sunday. Messi doesn't scare us, Argentina is an incredible team, but we have a few days to work," he went on to say.
The final is France¡¯s 4th World Cup summit clash in the last seven editions.
