LSG skipper KL Rahul expressed concern during the post-match presentation, revealing Yadav's struggle with side pain. "I haven't spoken to Mayank much. He had some pain in his sides. So, I asked him to go out. He is useful for us. We need to take care of him," Rahul remarked, acknowledging Yadav's contribution to the team's strategy with his wide yorkers and slower bumpers.

Reports from PTI suggest that Yadav might have sustained a Grade 1 tear, spelling trouble for his immediate future in the league. A BCCI source, speaking anonymously, mentioned the possibility of Yadav featuring in the knockout games if LSG qualifies but termed it "hoping against hope."
