Netizens Want LSG Owner Sanjiv Goenka To 'Learn From Shah Rukh Khan' Following His Agitated Chat With KL Rahul
Netizens expressed disappointment at Goenka's public display of frustration, demanding an apology and suggesting he learn from the leadership of Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders.
Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma showcased their batting prowess as SunRisers Hyderabad convincingly chased down the 166-run target set by Lucknow Super Giants at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday. The duo's explosive innings led SRH to a remarkable victory with 10 wickets in hand and a whopping 62 balls to spare, leaving the Lucknow side stunned.
In the first innings, Ayush Badoni's gritty unbeaten fifty, supported by Nicholas Pooran's aggressive 48 not out, propelled Lucknow Super Giants to a competitive total of 165 for four in 20 overs, after they elected to bat first on a pitch that seemed challenging initially.
After the game, LSG captain KL Rahul, visibly dismayed by the defeat, chose to commend the exceptional performance of Head and Abhishek rather than criticize his own team.
However, a post-match altercation between Rahul and LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka grabbed attention, with a video of their heated exchange quickly going viral.
Netizens expressed disappointment at Goenka's public display of frustration, demanding an apology and suggesting he learn from the leadership of Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders.
Take a look at some of the reactions here:
KKR had worse humiliation season. SRK and Ganguly were enemies at one point. But still Neither SRK or another KKR owner publicly did this with Ganguly. That's why we have won 3 trophies and Goenka struggles to win 1 with 2 different teams now in ipl

After losing the match, see the difference in the attitudes of these two owners. Shah Rukh Khan is far superior in handling losses, comforting and motivating the team, and giving due credit to the opposition. Despite the setback against SRH, LSG remains in contention for a playoff spot, currently occupying sixth place with 12 points from as many games. However, they face stiff competition from teams like CSK, SRH, and DC in their bid for a playoff berth.
Up next for LSG is a crucial clash against DC on Tuesday, followed by a showdown with MI on May 17th, both away games. Lucknow, having reached the playoffs in both of their IPL appearances so far, will be eager to bounce back and strengthen their position in the points table.
LSG secured Rahul in a pre-auction agreement for Rs 17 crore after shelling out a historic sum of Rs 7,090 crore to acquire the franchise in 2021. Under Rahul's leadership, the team clinched third place in both 2022 and 2023.
During his tenure as owner of the Rising Pune Supergiants (now defunct), Goenka replaced MS Dhoni with Steve Smith as captain after the team's seventh-place finish in 2016.
