Internet Divided After Reddit Post Alleges JEE Candidate Copied All 75 Answers From Another Test Taker
A Reddit user recently claimed that a candidate sitting beside him managed to copy from him during the exam, resulting in both of them scoring 300 in JEE Mains.
JEE Advanced, the pivotal entrance exam for major state-funded engineering institutes, is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). To combat cheating, the exam employs multiple question papers with identical questions but varying formats. Since 2019, it has shifted to a computer-based format, adding another layer of complexity for potential cheaters.
It seems a boy scored 300/300 in JEE Mains just by copying a topper sitting beside him.

However, a Reddit user recently claimed that a candidate sitting beside him managed to copy from him during the exam, resulting in both of them scoring 300 in JEE Mains. In a now-deleted Reddit post, the candidate wrote, ¡°Fast forward to the day when the final answer key was released (I think it was 2 days ago), I found out that he had also got 300 in his exam. I had told my parents, teachers and friends about this. They consoled me saying it wasn¡¯t my mistake.¡± He urged people to write an email to the exam authorities, demanding action against the alleged cheater, although he did not reveal the identity of the person.
It appears to be fake ! The questions are jumbled up to make 4 sets of paper. And NTA has taken exams so many times that having same set to adjacent students is impossible (due to algo) ! Besides the guy will have to memorise atleast 50-55 questions out of 75 again impossible!

When I was giving my JEE mains it was on computers, within cabinets. It was pretty much hard work to peek into someone else¡¯s cabinet and get answer to questions which you might not have seen yet. Guess they went back to paper again :/
