WWE SmackDown results: Roman Reigns sets his eyes on Cody Rhodes's Undisputed championship, enters Royal Rumble Match
Roman Reigns's manager Paul Heyman opened the show on Friday Night SmackDown, announcing the Tribal Chief's intention to enter Royal Rumble 2025. This will be the first time in five years that Reigns would take part in a Royal Rumble Match.
Fresh off his win against Solo Sikoa in the Tribal Combat match on Raw Netflix debut, 'Tribal Chief' Roman Reigns has set his eyes on a new prize ¨C the Undisputed WWE Championship, held by Cody Rhodes. Reigns's manager Paul Heyman opened the show on Friday Night SmackDown, with a message from the OTC.
Rhodes has earned Reigns's respect
The Wiseman then called out WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to come down to the ring so he could announce his Tribal Chief's new plans face-to-face.
According to Heyman, Rhodes has accomplished what very few men have done ¨C earning the respect of Reigns.
It's because of that respect that Reigns wants Rhodes to know upfront that he has declared for the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match, Heyman said.

Roman Reigns's first Royal Rumble in five years
This will be the first time in five years that Reigns would take part in a Royal Rumble Match. Reigns, who won the Royal Rumble in 2015, last competed in the 30-man over-the-top battle royale in 2020. He, however, was part of every Rumble PLE in the last four years as the champion.

Reigns will join the likes of John Cena and CM Punk, who also have announced their participation in the Royal Rumble 2025, which will be held on February 1st at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
