Top 5 Super Overs in World T20

Bowl-outs, involving 5 bowlers from each team bowling at an unguarded wicket to settle drawn games, were used at the 2007 Twenty20 World Cup. Later, Super Over (also called OOPSE - One Over Per Side Eliminator) took over in which instead of 5 bowlers, one nominated bowler would bowl to a nominated batsman and the team that manages the maximum number of runs in an over, wins.

ICC World Twenty20, 2007: India vs Pakistan
In their second group match, India were looking for a win against Pakistan to qualify for the next stage. However, the two arch rivals were tied at 141 in their respective 20 overs. A first ever bowl-out in the history of T20 world cup was used in which India beat Pakistan 3-0 and later went on to become the champion.

ICC World Twenty20, 2009: Ireland vs Netherlands
This was an exceptional warm-up match as the result was decided by a Super Over ¨C first time in history. Both the teams were tied at 135 after their 20 overs. Ireland won 6-1.

ICC Women's World Twenty20, 2010: Australia vs England

The contest between world's two of the best teams was a fierce battle eventually won by Australia. Both the teams were all out on 104.
ICC World Twenty20, 2012: Sri Lanka vs New Zealand
Sri Lanka clinched a thriller beating New Zealand via the Super Over after their Super Eights clash ended in a tie - both teams scored 174! In the one-over eliminator, Sri Lanka smashed 13 runs and in reply the Black Caps could just get 7.

ICC World Twenty20, 2012: West Indies vs New Zealand
Second Super Over in which New Zealand was involved and lost! The game went into the Super Over after New Zealand made heavy weather of a modest 140-run chase. West Indies needed 18 to win in the Super Over and they pulled off a sensational win in their final Super Eights match with a ball to spare.
