Husband Buries Wife Under A Cow Dung Mountain To Cure Snake Bite, She Dies Soon After
Devendri a 35-year-old woman in Uttar Pradeshs Bulandshahr region was bitten by a snake when she was out in the fields to collect wood for household chores. Her husband called a snake charmer to heal her injury and get the poison out of her body Upon his suggestion the husband wrapped the woman with cow dung and made a mountain out of cows shit over her body. Obviously this didnt help her and the poor woman died.
You know what radical people say when a black cat crosses their path? They say she might just be going somewhere and is not there to bring bad luck to you. She has better things to do, buddy.
Indians thrive on superstition, or maybe it is the other way round. We have so many illogical notions attached to so many things - breaking of a mirror, boiling of milk, black cat crossing path etc.
The latest addition to this list is - dumping someone under a mountain of cow dung to cure them of a snake bite.

Now, instead of taking her to the hospital - which is what a sane person would do - her husband called a snake charmer to heal her injury and get the poison out of her body. Upon his suggestion, the husband wrapped the woman with cow dung and made a mountain out of cow's shit over her body.

All this while the snake charmer was chanting mantras. Obviously, this didn't help her and the poor woman died.
It's baffling how people vest their interest in black magic and bogus mantras over medical science. Truly, if the later wasn't helpful, why would have hospitals and doctors anyway?
