Taking to social media platform X, Barrack Obama shared his 2024 Summer Reading list.
The new list features 14 novels and non-fiction works.

His book list features fiction like Headshot by Rita Bullwinkel, which tells the story of eight teenage girls competing in a boxing match in Reno, Nevada, and Help Wanted by Adelle Waldman, about low-wage workers at a big-box store in upstate New York enduring tough shifts while dreaming of better opportunities.
It also features non-fiction titles like Everyone Who Is Gone Here: The United States, Central America, and the Making of a Crisis by Jonathan Blitzer, which examines the flawed policies and corruption driving the migration crisis at the US-Mexico border, and Of Boys and Men: Why the Modern Male Is Struggling, Why It Matters, and What to Do About It by Richard Reeves, which explores the future of masculinity in a more equitable world.
In Obama's 2016 reading list, he had included a book by Pulitzer Prize winning Indian author Jhumpa Lahiri - her second novel, The Lowland.
The book explores the lives of two brothers in Kolkata against the backdrop of the Naxalite Movement. This book was shortlisted for the 2013 Man Booker Prize and was mentioned alongside The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton.
