US Presidential Election 2024: Donald Trump says he is ¡®entitled to personal attacks¡¯ against Kamala Harris
While Donald Trump was widely expected to attack Kamala Harris personally during the election campaign, there is a growing section of the Republican Party that is becoming increasingly uncomfortable with such insults. This includes Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Kevin McCarthy, Kellyanne Conway, and more.
Laffin¡¯ Kamala, Lyin¡¯ Kamala, and Crazy Kamabla¡ªthese are just some of the names Republican candidate Donald Trump has used to refer to his Democratic rival in the upcoming US Presidential elections, Kamala Harris. This came as a surprise to no one, as Trump has a long history of insulting his opponents with such names, whether it's calling Hillary Clinton a "nasty woman," referring to Kim Jong-un as "little rocket man," or calling US President Joe Biden "Sleepy Joe."
Republicans want Trump to tone down
While this is nothing new, and Trump was widely expected to attack Harris personally during the election campaign, there is a growing section of the Republican Party that is becoming increasingly uncomfortable with such insults.
This includes Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Kevin McCarthy, Kellyanne Conway, and more, who have publicly urged Trump to tone down his personal comments and focus his attacks on Harris's immigration policy and the economy.

Thanks, but no thanks, says Trump
But this has not affected Trump a bit, and he has doubled down on his personal attacks.
Trump on Thursday insisted he was ¡°entitled¡± to continue his barrage of personal attacks against Harris.
¡°I don¡¯t have a lot of respect for her. I don¡¯t have a lot of respect for her intelligence, and I think she¡¯ll be a terrible president. She certainly attacks me personally. She actually called me weird,¡± Trump said.
'I don't want her advice'
Trump also said that while he appreciates the support he has received from Nikki Haley, he doesn't want her advice on what to say in campaign speeches.
"I fought Nikki (Haley) very hard. I beat her in her own state by legendary numbers. I get along with her fine. I appreciate that she endorsed me," Trump said.
