Donald Trump's love for WWE
Trump, who became a household name with his reality TV show The Apprentice, is known to have a strong personal relationship with the McMahons and WWE. In 1988, Trump was the host of WWE's WrestleMania IV and V at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City. He also attended WrestleMania VII in Los Angeles in 1991 and WrestleMania XX at Madison Square Garden in 2004.
Trump even got himself into the ring at WrestleMania 23 for what was dubbed the "Battle of the Billionaires," where two wrestlers¡ªBobby Lashley, representing the future US President, and Umaga, representing McMahon¡ªfaced each other. It was a hair vs hair match, in which the losing billionaire would also have his head shaved. After Lashley defeated Umaga, Trump shaved the WWE co-founder bald in front of a packed audience.
Linda McMahon's political career
Linda McMahon had stepped down from her position as WWE's chief executive to enter politics but failed to win a Senate seat in Connecticut in both 2010 and 2012.
However, in 2016, Trump put her in charge of the Small Business Administration, a role in which Linda won widespread appreciation for her work.
While her business acumen is well-known, the same cannot be said about Linda's experience in the education sector. But she has expressed support for charter schools and school choice and served on the Connecticut Board of Education for a year starting in 2009.
