As the situation is getting out of control and fatalities are rising on the frontlines, a video of a Ukrainian soldier has gone viral on social media.
In the short video, widely circulated online the solder is seen addressing his parents.
"Mom, Dad, I love you," the unidentified soldier says in the video, as his country is under attack.

According to the Russian Defence Ministry, its strikes have taken out Ukraine's air defences and airforce with a series of precision attacks.
Airports and runways across the country were also rocked by explosions since morning.
Officials also claimed on Thursday morning that Ukrainian border guards are not resisting the advancing Russian troops, who have moved in after President Vladimir Putin signed an order to begin a "special operation" in the Donbas.
Black smoke was seen rising over the Ukrainian defence ministry intelligence headquarters in central Kyiv on Thursday, although the building appeared to be intact.
Ukraine said some of its military command centres have been hit by Russian missile strikes.
Earlier, Ukraine's military had said it had destroyed four Russian tanks on a road near the eastern city of Kharkiv, killed 50 troops near a town in Luhansk region and downed a sixth Russian aircraft, also in the country's east.
Two Russian civilian cargo ships were hit by a Ukrainian missile strike in the sea of Azov, causing casualties, Russia's TASS news agency reported on Thursday citing the federal security service.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's central bank has suspended foreign exchange cash withdrawals and limited how much local currency people could take out of ATMs on Thursday as Russia's invasion sent assets tumbling.
India launches helpline for citizens
With many Indian nationals still stuck in Ukraine, the central government has launched a 24-hour helpline to assist Indian students caught up in the ongoing war. A 24-hour control room has been set up in Delhi and the helpline numbers are +911123012113, +911123914104, +911123017905 and 1800118797.
The Indian Embassy in Kyiv also issued an advisory to Indian nationals stuck in Ukraine. It said that since the Ukrainian airspace was closed, the schedule of special flights has been cancelled.
It also said that alternate arrangements are being made and that information will be conveyed soon so that Indians could relocate to the western part of the country.
