How Fu Bao¡¯s farewell ceremony looked like
Fubao's departure was a poignant event marked by heartfelt farewells from fans. Loaded onto a specialised, vibration-free truck, Fubao embarked on a 20-minute journey around the theme park, starting at 10:40 a.m.
Approximately 6,000 admirers gathered to bid her goodbye, creating a touching atmosphere.
Fubao's caregivers, including Song Young-kwan and Kang Cheol-won, affectionately known as "Fubao¡¯s grandpa," expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of love for Fubao. They urged everyone present to cherish memories of her.
Despite facing the loss of his mother recently, Kang, who had become deeply attached to Fubao, accompanied her on the journey to China to continue caring for her.
On a rainy day, the truck traveled through streets crowded with people who came out to say goodbye despite the rain. Videos of Fu Bao were shown on a big screen and people¡¯s reactions showcased the immense love they had for the panda.
With umbrellas in hand and tears in their eyes, it was truly a heartwarming sight.
