To honour the lives of the victims of the Quebec City mosque shooting, Eiffel Tower went dark early Tuesday morning.

The move was appreciated and supported by world leaders from around the globe and they too offered their support to the Canadian government on Monday.

Six people were killed and five others were wounded when a lone gunman opened fire at a Quebec City mosque during evening prayers. Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard termed the act ¡°barbaric violence¡± and expressed solidarity with the victims' families.
