6 Months Ago, Pochettino Guided Spurs To 1st UCL Final. Now He's Been Sacked As Coach
This is unfortunate.
Tottenham Hotspur did away with the services of their manager Mauricio Pochettino. This was just six months after he led them to their first Champions League final. He had been in charge for 5 years and the reason for the sacking is due to a poor run in the first half of the season.
Jose Mourinho has replaced him for the job.
Pochettino was appointed by Tottenham in 2014. He turned the side around into a lethal force in the years to come.

They almost won the Champions League too, but went down the Liverpool in the final.
With the club also moving into a wonderful new stadium, things were really starting to look up.
But the start of the season saw a downturn. Spurs have only won 3 out of 12 EPL games and are in 14th place. To add to that misery, they lost 2-7 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League and eliminated from the League Cup by fourth-tier Colchester United.

Along with Pochettino, his assistant Jesus Perez and the rest of his backroom staff have also been sacked.
¡°We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste,¡± Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said.
¡°Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing," he added.
¡°It falls to the Board to make the difficult decisions ¡ª this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff ¡ª but we do so in the club¡¯s best interests," he went on to say.
¡°Mauricio and his coaching staff will always be part of our history. I have the utmost admiration for the manner in which he dealt with the difficult times away from a home ground whilst we built the new stadium and for the warmth and positivity he brought to us."

¡°I should like to thank him and his coaching staff for all they have contributed. They will always be welcome here.¡±
Since he came from Southampton, Pochettino has been really popular among Spurs players and fans.e.
¡°We came a long way together,¡± Toby Alderweireld told Sky Sports.
¡°A lot of players achieved big things. I can see where we¡¯ve come from before my time at Spurs. We have to be thankful for what he achieved at the club," he added.

¡°We have to try to work hard and I think there will be a (new) manager quickly. Spurs are a big club so there will be a big manager for us. We (the players) have to stay together and change things as quickly as possible,¡± he went on to say
Dele Alli posted a picture of himself and Pochettino on Twitter and Instagram and wrote: ¡°I can¡¯t thank this man enough. He¡¯s taught me so much and I¡¯m so grateful for everything he¡¯s done for me. Good luck and hope to see you again my friend.¡±
¡°He helped the club to punch massively above their weight for years,¡± wrote Gary Lineker on Twitter. ¡°Good luck with finding a better replacement...ain¡¯t gonna happen.¡±
Needless to say, fans are still trying to process what has happened:

2/ Leaving our beloved White Hart Lane -Who can forget The Finale?- playing at Wembley, etc Mauricio put us in the elite of World football. We owe him so many memories. Where to start? With him we learned to "believe". Everybody at Spurs owe him so much. It was such a pleasure...

Poch sacked.
Spurs announce Mourinho.
B.Munich announce Poch.
JANUARY 2020
B.Munich sign Kane
Spurs sign Matic ?
Tottenham slowly imploding would just be the sweetest thing for so many reasons. No fan-base in the Premier League deserves it more. No trophies? Go on then. Poch leaving? You tease. More banter? Oh, go on then.

He¡¯s struggling a bit.
He¡¯s not the only one.#COYS pic.twitter.com/KP81QwtpeG
Proper shit that only one player, thus far, has come out to publicly thank Poch. The man done so much for each & every one of them regardless of how things may have ended.
