'King of Lions' Anshul Jubli to make his UFC return on February 9 to fight Quillan Salkilld

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced that Indian mixed martial artist Anshul Jubli will make his return to the octagon in February. According to the UFC, Jubli, aka 'King of Lions', will be a part of UFC 312 on February 9.

Jubli will face Quillan Salkilld from Australia in the lightweight division, hoping to pick up his first win in the UFC. The 29-year-old from Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, is only the second Indian MMA fighter to become a part of the UFC, after Bharat Khandare, who made his octagon debut in 2017.

Jubli, who has an MMA record of eight fights (7 wins and 1 loss), made his first appearance in the UFC on October 21, 2023. At UFC 294, Jubli lost his debut fight in a TKO loss to Mike Breeden of the US in the third round.

UFC 312
Jubli was scheduled to face Maheshate Hayisaer from the US on April 27, 2024, but he pulled out of the fight due to unspecified reasons.
He will return to the MMA ring on February 9 for UFC 312, which will be held at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.
