Virender Sehwag always had a reputation for big scores. In Tests, he was never satisfied with a hundred and look to convert it into a a double and triple.

In 2008 against South Africa in Chennai, Sehwag became the fastest triple centurion in Test cricket.
He slammed 319, which till date is the highest individual Test score by an Indian. He broke his own 309 against Pakistan in 2004. As a result he joined the likes of Don Bradman and Brian Lara in the club of those with 2 300s. Chris Gayle joined the club in 2010.

He finished with 319 in 304 balls with 42 fours and 5 sixes. The South Africans were sent scampering after the ball and they were just confused.
When he fell, the score was 481. India made 627 in reply to South Africa's 540. The match was drawn and Sehwag once again stamped his class on the opposition once again.
